MODERN QUILTER AND EDUCATOR
Meet Jacquie Gering, a modern quilter, author, and educator.
I want to share Jacquie and some of her work with you. She is a talented modern quilter who shares FREE tutorials, and speaks her mind through her art, aka quilting.
'Homage' Quilt by Jacquie Gering
Jacquie herself is of Mennonite heritage and quilting has been a part of her family’s history. But growing up sewing her own clothes and being surrounded by quilting, Jacquie didn’t love it and wasn’t good at it (in her own words). It wasn’t until discovering Gee’s Bend quilts at an exhibit that she was interested in quilting. The freedom of those designs and how different it was from what she knew opened her up to the world of quilting.
Jacquie developed her own style of quilting that is minimal, geometric, and shares topics that are near and dear to her heart.

She was on the board of directors for the Modern Quilt Guild.
She’s written several FREE quilting tutorials here.
Jacquie is truly a talented modern quilter and educator of our time.
I hope you join us in the Quilters Candy Membership on April 20th, 2021, at 7:30 pm CST to hear from her personally.
Here are a few more photos of some of my personal favorite quilts from Jacquie. Enjoy!
