Welcome to Week 5 of the QAL! This week we are piecing our After The Rain quilt tops by adding sashing.

TIPS FOR ADDING SASHING
Week 5 of the After The Rain QAL is piecing our quilt top. That means you will be adding sashing.
I have a tip I learned for adding sashing that will help keep your quilt top smooth (aka not wonky).
- Place sashing RST with row of rainbows.
- Pin in place.
- Start in the MIDDLE of the shashing and sew toward one side (see images below).
- Go back to the middle of the sashing and sew to the opposite side.
This method of starting in the middle and sewing out avoids puckering and wonky sashing.
