I am excited to share the new Quilters Candy ‘Day Dreamer’ Quilt. You’ll see the inspiration for the quilt and different version my pattern testers and Quilters Candy Members made.
I was lucky to discover this book, ‘Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns‘ full of traditional quilt blocks that are not copyrighted. That means anyone can use these blocks to design a quilt.
After flipping through the hundreds of pages, I narrowed down on this one design you can see circled here. It was my inspiration for the Day Dreamer quilt block.
Compare the circled image above with my final Day Dreamer Quilt Block, shown below.
This is what I designed in EQ8. I love seeing the inspiration and how it morphed into what is now the Day Dreamer Quilt.
The Day Dreamer Quilt was first released to the Quilters Candy Membership. I like to share my new patterns with my membership before I open them to the public. Here are some photos of the different version some of the Quilters Candy Members made.
After releasing the pattern as a mini for the Membership, I wanted to a have some full size quilts, as well. Here are the full size quilts my testers made.
Fabrics used to make this cover quilt are Art Gallery Fabric Solids. The backing is made with Kismet by Sharon Holland for Art Gallery Fabrics. You can get Quilt Kits to make this exact quilt HERE until supplies run out.
I hope you enjoyed seeing the inspiration for my new Day Dreamer Quilt. You can get the pattern HERE in my shop.
