In 2015, I met a dear friend, Tracy. We dreamed up all sorts of things to do together: building tables, starting a tween makeup brand, and eventually, starting a Quilter's monthly subscription box. It was a natural fit as her mom and sister design fabric and quilt patterns, and quilting was something Tracy taught me all about. This was such a fun adventure to start with a friend, and one that led me headfirst into the quilting world.

For one year, starting in 2016, Tracy and I worked together to bring Quilters Candy Box into the world. It was a fun and exciting adventure, but Tracy and her family ended up moving away. Quilters Candy Box then became a business I ran by myself. I loved the creativity of the quilting world. Along with curating a monthly box, I made more and more quilts, learning how to make my quilts look like those I saw others make. Their points and corners where touching. Their quilt tops where square, flat, and looked beautiful. I met some amazing friends along the way who helped me learn quilting tips. I practiced and practiced and started loving the results I was getting.

As I worked on other's quilt patterns, I realized I had quilt patterns in my mind that I wanted to create. I dived in and searched and worked to create my own quilt patterns. As I put them out into the world, I would get questions like, "Is this a beginner friendly pattern?" Or, "How did you get your quilt to look like ______." People were looking for a way to get into the quilting world or improve their skills, but didn't know who to turn to, or where to look. I knew I wanted to create a place where people could get one-on-one help learning to quilt. I'm excited to help you learn and love to quilt!
